Some of those who visit Acupuncture & Associated Therapies may have already met her as she’s been working with Arlene in the treatment room as an assistant since June and has been in the office this fall offering massage therapy. Starting in January, she will be available for acupuncture appointments beginning with Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-5, adding days as her schedule fills.
As an acupuncturist Gwen loves working on people of all ages. Acupuncture can help everything from anxiety to chronic joint pain, and she loves using it to help aid patients into a happier and healthier experience with life. She has experience working at Harborview Medical Center and at Bastyr Center of Natural Health in Seattle, WA, and she is very grateful to be working at Acupuncture and Associated Therapies.
Gwen moved to Seattle in 2014 to obtain her M.S. in Acupuncture at Bastyr University after working as a yoga instructor and massage therapist for 5 years. Thanks to her mother, she had experience with holistic medicine throughout her childhood, so after graduating Ithaca College-becoming a yoga instructor and a massage therapist wasn’t as far fetched for her as it might have been for others who walked a similar path. When she is not working, you can find her focused on a new art project, researching more avenues of information in holistic medicine, or outside in nature walking her two dogs on one of the cape’s sandy beaches.
