“AWAKENINGS”
New Art by Chris O’Dell Ferguson, Kelly Ferguson and Cailyn Ferguson Woodruff’s Art Center, Mashpee Commons
March 3 through April 9 “Awakenings” will be on view, a moving array of artwork at Woodruff’s Art Center in Mashpee Commons. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, March 3rd from 5:00-6:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
“Awakenings” takes the viewer on a deep, hopeful and expressive journey. It is a response to all of the changes in our lives as a collective. It is a visual journey of the artists’ consideration and acceptance of what is inevitable. Their hope is that when viewing their art, you can feel the positive exploration and true connection to the idea that every moment can be a new awakening.
Chris O’Dell Ferguson and her daughters Kelly and Cailyn all love and appreciate nature and all of its forms. Living on Cape Cod, they are inspired daily by all of the interesting views and tones of colors. To them, art is an extension of who they are uniquely and what they have to say. They describe it as “our voice without speaking”.
The artists have participated in numerous exhibitions and have accepted splendid awards. Their goal in this exhibit is that the viewer will share in their love of the never ending exploration and hope in this ever changing world.
Woodruff’s Art Center is open Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm (closed Sundays)
