NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Homefront is a 6 session, peer-delivered course designed for families or support persons of Veterans and service members with mental health conditions. You will learn how to:
Manage crises, solve problems, communicate effectively
Care for yourself; manage stress
Develop confidence to support your loved one with compassion
Identify and access federal, state and local services
Be informed on the latest research on mental health
Understand current treatments, therapies and medications
Navigate the challenges and impact of mental health on the family
Most importantly, be with others who face similar challenges. You are not alone! Course begins on July 15th!
