Message from Peter Franklin, Highfield Hall and Gardens Executive Director

Dear Highfield friends,

Spring is on the horizon and the launch of our 2018 season is imminent! Our dedicated staff has been searching the cultural world to bring you world-renown performers and inspiring artists.

Grammy-nominated jazz singer Judy Carmichael will kick off our music program on opening day. Our culinary selections will fill the halls with Mediterranean aromas, provide cooking secrets from renown chefs and farm-to-table inspiring entrees. Outside and inside over 12 different art exhibitions during the 2018 season featuring prints from Japan, ceramics from a unique kiln, and more.

If you want to be inspired, come see the exhibition of work by artists with disabilities. The show is a testament to the power of the human spirit to overcome physical limitations to produce absolutely stunning works of art. Their stories and accomplishments are nothing less than incredible. Finally, walk our grounds. We have begun a multi-year effort to upgrade the outside walking experience with quiet spaces, interactive experiences and improved accessibility.

This year promises to be memorable so I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for your support to make all of this possible.

I invite you to check out upcoming programs. We open the doors for daily visits on April 15th. See you soon at Highfield for a spectacular season!

Peter Franklin
Executive Director
