Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mashpee Historical Commission and Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Schedule of Events
From 11:00-2:00 the Archives building will be open to the public to view the maps, framed photos, etc. of Mashpee history that will be on display

From 11:00-12:00 the One-room Schoolhouse will be open for tours. This will be the last day the schoolhouse will be open for the season.

From 12:00-1:00 there will be a round table discussion by the past and present members of the MHC reminiscing about what took place when they were MHC members, the type of projects they worked on and the type of events they held.

From 1:00-2:00 under the direction of Brian Weeden, A Wampanoag cultural activity will take place outside in the Mashpee Community Park with Native American drumming, singing, and dancing.

The Mashpee Archives Building is open and available to the public on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00AM until 2:00PM, and at other times by special appointment.

Visitors who may wish to do research or are looking for information the history of Mashpee are welcome.
