Strength Training to Help Maintain Bone Density

For bones to increase and maintain their density, they require the application of weight-bearing force. The best exercises are not only weight-bearing but also exercises that have impact. This Specialty Program will use a combination of your own body weight, dumbbells and resistance band exercises for the entire body specifically to help maintain bone density.

Tai Chi
Mondays & Wednesdays 4pm-5pm

The benefits of Tai Chi are best shown through regular practice. Participants will learn to use awareness of breath, posture and weight transference working on the basic Yang style Tai Chi movements in easy to follow short forms. Both beginners and repeat participants welcome.

Balance & Stability Training: Physical activity is a major factor in keeping good health and maintaining your independence as you age. The Fighting Falls Program is designed to improve balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength to reduce the risk of falls and maintain activities of daily living. The program utilizes variety of training methods and modalities that make for a fun and rewarding experience.
