This Thanksgiving, we’re thankful for your generosity that has helped our most vulnerable clients access the housing they need to remain safe this year.
That includes our youngest client, a 9-week-old boy, born to a young mother recovering from addiction. At our Angel House shelter, his mother is embracing the opportunity to build strong life skills and he is thriving.
Shortly, after turning 23, another one of our clients found herself homeless, sleeping in a tent in the woods of Falmouth. She had spent her childhood shuffled from home to home in foster care. Our outreach counselors helped this resilient young woman enroll in services and move into an affordable apartment in September.
One of our oldest clients was living in his car at the age of 81. We secured him emergency shelter which allowed him to address two serious health scares while pursuing permanent housing. Thanks to our donors, this client recently celebrated his one-year anniversary in an affordable rental.
Nobody dreams of becoming homeless. But with the scarcity of affordable housing, too many people are one crisis, one missed paycheck from homelessness.
Your donations help give children a place to call home. Your support provides young people with housing stability. Your generosity ensures seniors can age in place.
As we conclude our 45th year serving Cape Cod and the Islands, we have a lot to celebrate. But our work isn’t done. Not when we have newborns living in shelter and seniors living in their cars. There is a solution and there is hope. It starts with housing.
By making a donation today, you will give hope to our neighbors when they need it most.
Thank you for changing lives!
