Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod Invites the Public to the Dedication of Two New Affordable Homes

Join Habitat Cape Cod in Welcoming Two New Families to 30 & 34 Janall Dr. in Dennis!

Yarmouth Port, July 10, 2019 – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod announces the dedication of two new affordable homes at 30 and 34 Janall Drive in Dennis.

The public is invited to the home dedication ceremony, which will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 5:30 PM, to thank sponsors, community donors, and volunteers and to celebrate the completion of homes that will be purchased by the families who helped build them.

Attendees should arrive by 5:15 PM to park and tour the homes before the ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 PM. Carpooling is encouraged. Light refreshments will be served.

The homes are sold to families who qualify according to Habitat Cape Cod’s homeowner selection criteria – a demonstrated need for improved housing, the ability to repay an affordable mortgage, and willingness to partner with Habitat by completing 250-500 sweat-equity hours building their homes and the homes of their neighbors. Each home will be sold at an affordable price, with a deed rider to ensure that upon any future resale the home will remain affordable to an eligible household.

This project was made possible with the support of developer George Hill, the Town of Dennis Community Preservation Act, Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, and the Yarmouth Dennis Faith Build. Construction financing provided by Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank. Home Mortgages provided by United States Dept. of Agriculture. Solar Funding provided by Kenneth Foreman & Anne Giblin, and The Cape Cod Foundation.
