Curtis on Tour back by popular demand at Highfield

HIGHFIELD HALL & GARDENS HOSTS DYNAMIC MUSIC PERFORMANCE BY CURTIS ON TOUR

Back by popular demand, Curtis on Tour returns to Highfield with a dynamic program that explores musical works through the ages. Curtis on Tour is the Nina von Maltzahn global touring initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music. It features extraordinary emerging professional artists performing alongside celebrated faculty and alumni and is grounded in the school’s learn by doing philosophy. Since 2008, students, faculty, and alumni have performed more than 300 concerts in over 90 cities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

The musicians include Curtis President Roberto Diaz ’84, a violinist who enjoys an international performing career, as well as, alumni Joshua Smith ’90, principal flute of the Cleveland Orchestra; guitarist Jordan Dodson ’13; violinist Maria loudenitch ’18; and cellist Albert Seo, a current Curtis student.

Highfield Hall & Gardens, a restored 1878 mansion and estate, is located at 56 Highfield Drive in Falmouth, MA. Surrounded by spectacular gardens and woodlands, Highfield hosts art exhibitions, music concerts, culinary classes, festivals, family events and public programs. The mansion is open to visitors six days a week from April 15-October 31 and year-round for programs and functions. Hours are Tuesday- Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Saturdays 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and Sundays 12:00 – 4:00 pm. Closed Mondays except holidays.
