ConvenientMD Urgent Care in Search of PPE (Protective Personal Equipment)

Good Morning Chamber of Commerce Partner,

As I write this email our clinic staff is on the front lines helping to treat patients across New England amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. I am incredibly proud of the resilience our team has shown during these difficult times. Like Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care facilities like ours, provide the most convenience access to healthcare in America today. There is a national shortage of testing supplies and PPE (protective personal equipment) that are limiting our ability to safely test and care for patients. We have already made the difficult decision to close some of our clinics to reappropriate supplies and staff.

ConvenientMD is in constant contact with state and federal health officials searching for much needed supplies and are discussing measures we can take to better support the community by setting up testing sites and remote telehealth. At this time, per CDC guidelines, ConvenientMD is only performing COVID-19 (coronavirus) testing on those patients at high risk for COVID-19 infection. This is due to world-wide shortages of COVID-19 tests and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to obtain the sample.

I am reaching out to you today to see if you can help us connect with area businesses who may be able to sponsor or donate supplies and/or resources in our effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. We are looking for any of the following: gloves, surgical masks, N95 masks, gowns, and swabs. I am ready to connect you with my marketing team to provide messaging at a moment’s notice to ensure accuracy of information and operational measures we are taking.

Please let me know if you are able to help us communicate this message to your membership through email or other avenues. We have set up the email address CommunitySupport@ConvenientMD.com to manage the many inquiries we are getting from organizations, companies and the general public regarding how they can help. There has already been an outpouring of support that I are hoping you can help me build on.

Thank you very much for your consideration! If you could please let me know at your earliest convenience I would greatly appreciate it. Please stay safe and healthy!

Steve
