Community Awareness Project

The Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee (MIDC) is excited to announce a Community Awareness Project to take place this fall as a way to introduce our committee to the residents of Mashpee and also to collect ideas about how we can help people to feel included.

The purpose of the MIDC is to “ provide a welcoming environment by encouraging cooperation and respect…, to promote, embrace and support the culture of Mashpee’s diverse population and to strive for a community characterized by the values of inclusion.”

We hope to distribute collection boxes, response slips, and a framed flyer to key locations around our town as noted in the attached flyer. With your permission, these materials will be dropped off at your location within the next 10 day to be displayed in a spot that will attract participation.

The Mashpee Inclusion and Diversity Committee looks forward to hearing from our Mashpee residents on the important issue of diversity and inclusion. It is hoped that this project will inform the committee’s work moving forward.
