Hyannis, MA, June 26, 2018 – Cape Cod Child Development announced the creation of a new parent company name: FamilyLinks, which will represent the broader partnerships and vision that have evolved during CCCDP’s 47 year history. CEO Anne Colwell made the soft announcement to an enthusiastic crowd of supporters at CCCDP’s annual meeting back in late April.
“We are the leading early education provider in the region, but we are more than just a Head Start Preschool organization, more than just an Early Intervention service. We provide a continuum of care for children ages zero to twenty through either direct services or through our extensive partnerships with other organizations in the community,” said Colwell. “The FamilyLinks name reflects our broader commitment to connecting children and families with services and support over the long term.”
Cape Cod Child Development, as well as Cape Cod Children’s Museum and Shea’s Youth Basketball Association, which were acquired by CCCDP earlier this year, will all maintain their existing separate corporate entities and finances. As the FamilyLinks organization develops over the next year, some shared services for the three organizations may be folded under the FamilyLinks umbrella.
The FamilyLinks name was developed as a result of CCCDP’s strategic plan, through several months of landscape research and brand development work led by Rose Resnik and Associates, who engaged the CCCDP board, partner organizations and other stakeholders in several community input sessions.
“I am very grateful for community participation in the development of our new parent company name,” said CCCDP board chair Sheryl Walsh. “I’m so proud of what this organization has accomplished for the almost 3,000 children we serve each year—but we have never done it alone. We are at our best when we are working in partnership, with the community to build a better future for us all. That’s the vision that the FamilyLinks name will help us carry forward.”
