Jessica Rapp Grassetti Elected President of the Board of Trustees of Cahoon Museum of American Art
The Cahoon Museum of American Art is pleased to announce the election of new officers to its Board of Trustees. Jessica Rapp Grassetti, a long time Cahoon Museum supporter, has been elected to take the helm as the new President.
“As a steadfast supporter of the museum, Jessica has demonstrated her commitment to our mission and the importance of having a thriving cultural community on Cape Cod. We are thrilled to expand her leadership role as we continue to grow our audiences and extend our impact in the region,” said Museum Director Sarah Johnson.
Jessica’s association with the Cahoon dates back to when she first assisted her parents in the restoration of the building and its founding in the early 1980s. As an integral part of the Museum, she was one of its first docents and has served on the building, events, collections and exhibitions committees.
“I am excited to return to the Board of Trustees and am looking forward to supporting the outstanding exhibitions and programs planned at the Museum in 2020,” Jessica said.
In addition, Mark Linehan has been elected as Vice President and Treasurer and Anne Bockhoff will continue to serve as Secretary. Zenas Crocker VII, Margaret Collins, Jean Entwistle, Debi James, John Miller, David Newton, Suzanne Reid, Gretchen Reilly and Hellie Swartwood continue as Trustees. The Museum’s founder, Rosemary Rapp, serves as Trustee Emerita.
