Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod Virtual Easter Egg Hunt

The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod Invites the Community to Join in an Egg-citing Virtual Easter Egg Hunt!

Because the Easter egg hunts have been canceled, the Boys & Girls Club Of Cape Cod wanted to do something Egg-stra Special for kids this week, so they are planning what they hope will turn into a Cape-wide virtual Easter Egg Hunt.

They are calling on all businesses, families, friends, everyone! – to color, or paint, a big Easter egg on whatever you have on hand, and then hang it in your window, on your door, on a tree, in your yard – just anywhere it is visible from the street – between Monday and Friday.

Why? So Families and kids can drive around their neighborhood, hunting for virtual eggs and forget about viruses for a little while!

How Can Kids Collect the Eggs? Get your folks to drive you around during the weekend and take some pictures of the eggs, or pictures of you in the foreground with the eggs at a distance, then ask your parents to share your pictures with the hash tag #egghuntcapecod on the Boys & Girls Club Facebook page, or any social media platform like Twitter or Instagram, or you can share them with your friends and family. See how many “eggs” you can collect and let the Boys & Girls Club know!

“Come on Cape Cod,” said Ruth Provost, the Club Director, “despite the limitations of our current situation, let’s get the whole community – young and old – behind this to give our local kids something to look forward to over the weekend. Plus, it gives housebound kids and adults something to fun to do, and we can all use some of that now.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod opened in 1999 with huge support from the community. It now serves 1,089 Cape Cod children and teens, providing homework assistance, mentoring, tutoring, drug & alcohol resistance programs, STEM programs, character & leadership programs, and classes and clubs in sports, recreation, mathematics, chess, and dozens of other subjects. 508-477-8845; Website: www.BoysGirlsClubCapeCod.org ; email: info@BoysGirlsClubCapeCod.org; Teen Instagram: @theclubcapecod or https://www.instagram.com/theclubcapecod/ ; Xbox Gamertag: TheClubCC; Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BoysandGirlsClubofCapeCod
