Please join us for the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod’s monthly Overdose Prevention and Narcan Training occurring on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 2pm.
The next training will occur tomorrow, February 23rd at 2pm and will last about an hour.
In this training session we will focus on Harm Reduction Methods as it relates to injection drug use, how to recognize, respond to and prevent opioid overdoses and breaking the stigma and shame associated with individuals who inject drugs. We will also go over on how to access Narcan, a lifesaving medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, for those of you who feel inclined to carry it.
If you have participated in this training before I still encourage you to join. Not only is this an OEND (Overdose Prevention and Narcan Distribution) training, but it is also a platform for like-minded individuals of the Cape and Islands community to connect and support one another.
The zoom details are below, and if you cannot attend tomorrow’s session, we hold these trainings every 4th Tuesday of the month at 2pm. Please feel free to email me, Blake Gronlund, with any further questions! All are welcome – so feel free to send this information to anyone who may be interested.
