The Local Cape Chambers Collaborative (LC3) is an organization of select Cape Cod Chambers of Commerce and members who are striving to effect change on a local level. The LC3 goals include leveraging best practices to help local Cape Chambers, members, and area businesses become stronger, more effective, and more efficient.
January 24, 2022 - In 2007, executives of local Cape Cod chambers of commerce recognized the need for a local approach to regional issues, resulting in the formation of Local Cape Chambers Collaborative (LC3). LC3 is a group that includes all fifteen Cape Cod Chambers of Commerce and members who are striving to effect change on a local level. The LC3 goals include leveraging best practices to help local Cape Chambers, members, and area businesses become stronger, more effective, and more efficient.
Like many aspects of business, LC3’s commitment to strengthen and fulfill their mission has solidified more as the Collaborative have tackled new challenges amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic. It’s only fitting that this strengthening of mission-focused resolve be recognized. And what better way to do that than by a logo glow-up?
“Last year, during my time as Chairperson of the LC3, I asked the group whether they’d be onboard with revamping our logo and they all agreed,” says Radu Luca, Executive Director of the Provincetown Chamber of Commerce. “I asked Ewa, our graphic director, webmaster and photographer, to draft a logo for us that would speak to the LC3’s mission and partnership. I think this logo that Ewa came up with perfectly defines and represents our unity and the collaborative aspect in which we conduct business to better represent our chamber members and towns on the Cape.”
The LC3 logo was designed by artist Ewa Nogiec, who came to the USA from Poland in 1981. After two years living in New York City, where she attended Hunter College to learn English while also taking art classes at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. She visited Provincetown “just for a summer” but never left and now lives in North Truro where she paints, takes photographs, does graphic design work, and takes care of her cat, chickens, and garden.
In October 2021, members of LC3 reviewed the new logo design in half a dozen color schemes before motioning to approve the logo used today to represent the group.
