I have been to Siena a few times for my birthday and on Christmas Eve. I mentioned this in a blog entry I made about the Neighborhood Block Party in the Mashpee Commons this past summer; I suggested stopping by Siena at the end of the day. If you haven’t been to Siena yet, I strongly suggest going. It is a cozy restaurant with two floors: the lower floor is the main restaurant and the upper floor is the bar where you can watch TV while the music plays in the background. I’ve only been to the main restaurant on the lower floor.
Siena is a great place to bring the family for a Friday night dinner or to have a night out with the girls. Their menus offer a variety of food for lunch, dinner, and dessert. They also have a gluten-free and vegan menu for those with dietary restrictions. For the adults, they also serve specialty drinks, which happen to be just as good. The best meal I’ve gotten at Siena was Butternut Squash Tortellacci. It’s pasta filled with butternut squash, tossed with even more butternut squash, as well as diced cranberries and sage, in a light maple cream sauce. This meal is definitely worth the price.
Another nice thing is that Siena is in the Mashpee Commons, so you can go for a walk and window-shop to burn off all the calories after you have dinner and a drink. The Mashpee Commons looks festive this time of the year, so you definitely shouldn’t miss that either.
You can also bring your guests for a wedding rehearsal dinner or wedding reception, company event, birthday, and anniversary parties, or any other occasion you want catered.
The restaurant encourages you to make reservations so you can be guaranteed seats.
Siena is located in the Mashpee Commons, at 17 Steeple Street. Contact the restaurant at 508-477-5929. They also have sister restaurants in Foxboro at Patriot Place and Westborough on Main Street.
