Spotlight On… Bobby Byrnes’ Restaurant & Pub
The Mashpee Commons is a wonderful place to walk around and shop all year round. The weather may not have warmed up just yet, but there are some cozy restaurants you can stop in and have a bite to eat after a day out. Bobby Byrne’s is one of these places. They serve a variety of food, some of which has roots in Ireland and England. During the holidays, around Thanksgiving, they include a traditional meal on their menu: turkey, with stuffing, squash, and cranberry. One of my favorite things to get for an appetizer is the French Onion Soup, the bread soaked in the soup with cheese covering it. It’s so good! The last time I was there, I got a seafood platter, which was also good. They give you so much, that there’s always some left over that you can take home.
It’s definitely the place to go, and especially on St. Patrick’s Day. With their Irish background, Bobby Byrnes is sure to have something traditional on his menu next Thursday. Don’t forget to stop in, at any time. Bobby Byrne’s Pub is open from 11 AM to 1 AM (14 hours), seven days a week, 363 days a year. The only days they are closed are Thanksgiving and Christmas.
