An informational meeting for abutting business owners will be held by MassDOT to present the proposed Routes 6 & 28  Reconstruction project.

PURPOSE:
The purpose of this meeting is to provide the business owners with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the revised Routes 6/28 Reconstruction project  and review the changes made to the design based on feedback received to date.   All views and comments made at the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
PROPOSAL:
The proposed project consists of roadway and traffic control safety improvements to approximately 8,820 feet of Cranberry Highway (Route 6 & 28). The proposed work includes roadway widening to create a four lane highway with a raised median, installation of curbing along the entire project length, construction of sidewalks, ADA compliant wheelchair ramps, installation of highway lighting, installation of a new stormwater drainage system, stormwater basins, and traffic signalization. Bicycle accommodations consisting of a usable shoulder have been provided in accordance with applicable design guides.
A secure right-of-way is necessary for this project. Acquisitions in fee and permanent or temporary easements may be required. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is responsible for acquiring all needed rights in private or public lands.
