My sister and I were very crafty children and even as adults today, some two or three decades later, we still are pretty crafty! When the holiday season rolled around at school, we’d make crafty Thanksgiving and Christmas gifts to give our parents as well as our own artistic creations. Over the years, our mom would post these on the big wall of our home where I grew up. Before we moved in 2007, the wall from the kitchen doorway to the fireplace was covered!
You just can’t put a price on those special hand-made gifts, especially if they’re from the children involved in your lives. Allowing them the opportunity to make messy art and craft handiwork to give you over the holiday is priceless. It’s definitely a memory you will want to keep forever, plus the image of the joy on their faces is something you will never want to forget. Kids get so much joy out of seeing their parents or a close relative happy at something they made.
On November 27th and 28th, the Cape Cod Children’s Museum will be holding a holiday craft workshop from 11 AM until 2 PM. This is a special activity only for kids aged three and above. They will be able to choose from a selection of crafts to make, wrap, and give to you over the holidays. Gifts will include: ornaments, decorations, picture frames, and so much more!
Tickets are $1 each and can be redeemed for selected craft projects. Pre-registration is not required, drop-ins are welcome.
