Can you believe New Year’s Eve is two weeks away! 2015 sure did fly by quickly, I guess it’s like they say… when you get older, time goes by quicker! Of course there is going to be celebration to welcome 2016 across the country, but why go all the way to Times Square or to Boston Commons—where there are thousands, or even millions, of other people—when you can just stay right here on Cape Cod? Hopefully this mild weather holds up!
There will be two First Night events on Cape Cod—in Chatham and Sandwich—both of which are family-friendly.
First Night Chatham – This year is the 25th New Year’s Eve celebration, and it will be a family-friendly day full of entertainment. It begins with the Town Photo at the Chatham Lighthouse at noon and ends with fireworks at Oyster Pond as the countdown to midnight begins. This is a family-friendly event, with no alcohol and the whole town is welcome. This includes a celebration of the arts with over seventy performances and events.
