Father’s Day is on June 18th, and this is the perfect day to honor the male figure in your life – whether they’re your father, uncle, brother, or a good friend. On this day, my dad likes to play a round of golf and then have a cook-out on the grill afterwards, while watching the Red Sox game on TV. Everyone celebrates Father’s Day differently; some with different tradition that persists year after year, or something different each year. Here are some ideas for Father’s Day this year from the Mashpee Chamber…
Breakaway BBQ has been a member of the Mashpee Chamber for a few years. They pride themselves on being Cape Cod’s #1 Source for Great Grills, Fireplaces, & Fire Pits. Breakaway offers a wide selection of grills for cook-outs, different types of fireplace and hearth products for the colder months, and fire pits and patio products for the warmer months. There’s a variety of features offered that can be found on their website with details and offers. Father’s Day is one of many wonderful days for a cook-out.
RideAway Kayak is located at Popponesset Marketplace and has just won the 2017 Best of Cape Cod and the Islands award! They really are The Best Kayak and SUP Tours on Cape Cod. RideAway Kayak not only offers kayaks and Stand-Up Paddles (SUP) for rentals, they also offer classes for everyone from beginners to experts, from children to the elderly. The more adventurous family would probably love to rent kayaks and/or stand-up paddles for Father’s Day, take everyone out on the water and have fun!

Another wonderful gift idea is a fabulous lobster dinner at our 2nd Annual Lobster Fest, on June 23rd! What better way to not only celebrate Father’s Day, but also kick off summer as well? One of the beverages offered at our Lobster Fest will be beer brewed in Mashpee courtesy of Naukabout Beer.
