Easter is just around the corner and it’s certainly a fun holiday for kids with the traditional Easter Egg hunt. Growing up, Easter was always one of my favorite holidays. It marked the end of the cold, winter months—but that’s not to say there was never snow on the ground Easter Sunday—and Spring was definitely on its way. My sister and I would wake up Easter morning and go downstairs to be greeted by our parents. We always had to have our breakfast before searching for the various Easter delicacies. We also got presents and coins as well.
Another thing is, when we were really young, our parents would take us to see the Easter Bunny and to get pictures taken with him; it was always a fun and special thing to do. On the Saturday before Easter, on March 26th, you and the children in your life will get to do the same thing. So, make sure you wear your Sunday best and go on down to the Mashpee Commons for a complimentary photo with the Easter Bunny! Hopefully, the weather will be warmer; it will be Spring, after all!
Not only the Easter Bunny be posing for photographs, but he will also be handing out mini chocolate eggs, courtesy of Ghelfi’s Candies and Ice Cream of Cape Cod. Stop by the Mashpee Commons between 12 PM and 4 PM on Sunday, March 26th. You and the kids will not want to miss this wonderful opportunity.
Anyone who celebrates Easter Sunday has their own traditional dinner, whether it’s at home or out to their favorite restaurant.
