Cape Cod Academy announces new members to its Board of Trustees

May 31, 2018…Osterville, MA… Cape Cod Academy (CCA), an independent school serving students from kindergarten to grade 12, announces that two new board members have been appointed to the school’s Board of Trustees. They are Charlotte Canzano and Kim Straubing, both residents of Osterville.


Charlotte Canzano has enjoyed visiting Cape Cod her entire life and now calls it home. Her passion for the Cape has been passed onto her four children who all attended Cape Cod Academy. Charlotte is founder of Oystervillle Vodka, which she began in 2015. She has grown her company rapidly in a short period of time. Charlotte and her entire family enjoy sailing and motor boating, going back five generations in Osterville. Two of her children sailed for CCA and now teach at the Wianno Yacht Club in the summers. Charlotte also serves as Rear Commodore at the Wianno Yacht Club. The Cape community is a special place to Charlotte, filled with many family members and childhood friends.

Kim Straubing has been a resident of Cape Cod since 2004. Prior to settling in Osterville, she and her husband, Jeff David, have lived in Virgin Gorda, Anguilla, and Aspen, Colorado. She was Director of Special Events for Boston University before having a successful career in sales. Kim and Jeff have a son who is a sixth-grader at CCA, having been a student at CCA since kindergarten. Kim is a member of the CCA’s Parent Association and has been a member since 2012. Recently, she served as a chair for the school’s 2018 Spring Gala, a record-breaking fundraiser.
